St. Anne Cathedral was one of the first churches to serve the Arab community of Los Angeles and became a central location of worship for them.
Originally located on Hoover Street, the community grew very large. The current property on Moorpark St was purchased and built a new church for the people. The construction was completed in 1965.
St. Anne’s was elevated to the status of Co-Cathedral for the Eparchy of Newton on August 1, 2015.
